Setpoint Services performed residential wine cellar refrigeration diagnostics at a home in Rollingwood, Texas after the wine room cooling system developed an equipment failure. Inspection of the Copeland/Tecumseh condensing system identified a failed condenser fan motor that was preventing proper condenser airflow and keeping the wine cellar refrigeration system from operating normally.
The recommended wine cellar refrigeration repair includes replacement of the failed condenser fan motor, inspection of the condenser fan blade, wiring, and electrical connections, and a thorough cleaning of the condenser coil to remove accumulated dirt and debris. Proper condenser airflow and heat rejection must first be restored before the complete wine room cooling system can be accurately operated and evaluated.
After the condenser fan motor is replaced, Setpoint Services will restore operation and verify condenser airflow, refrigeration pressures, and overall wine cellar cooling performance. Because the failed condenser fan currently prevents normal system operation, additional refrigeration or electrical issues may become apparent once the system is running and can be fully tested.
The indoor air handler serving the wine room has not yet been accessed or inspected. Further evaluation of the air handler will be required to verify the condition and operation of the complete wine cellar refrigeration system.
