Diagnosed and repaired a commercial AC system at Smoothie King in Austin TX that was not cooling. Upon arrival, the system was heavily iced over at the compressor and line set. Initial readings showed low suction pressure and poor system performance. Performed full service including cleaning the condenser coil, de-icing the evaporator coil, and replacing two clogged 20x20x1 air filters. Also cleared both primary and secondary drain lines at the air handler. After service, system pressures returned to normal and the unit is now operating properly with a 20°F temperature split between return and supply air. Dirty coils, clogged filters, and restricted airflow were the main causes of the issue. Performed preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration equipment at Smoothie King in Austin TX. Services included cleaning condenser coils on all refrigeration units and clearing drain lines to improve performance and prevent future issues. During inspection, one reach-in cooler was found set too high at 41°F and was adjusted to 36°F. Unit is now maintaining proper temperature. Also found a Vendo 1-door reach-in merchandiser with an iced-over evaporator coil. Unit was shut down and left to fully de-ice before further service. Routine refrigeration maintenance like this helps prevent breakdowns, improve efficiency, and extend equipment life. Completed installation of a new commercial HVAC system in Austin TX including condenser and air handler. Removed existing equipment and installed new system with thermostat, heater kit, and all electrical and mechanical connections for proper operation. System was charged with R-454B refrigerant and fully tested to ensure proper cooling performance and airflow. Also installed a custom filter track to allow easier air filter replacement and improve long-term maintenance. This installation helps improve efficiency, reliability, and overall cooling performance for the space.
