Preventative Maintenance Inspection. Inspected ice machine due to long freeze cycles, inconsistent harvests, and low water level in sump during freeze. Found water flow into sump extremely slow during freeze cycle. Disassembled water inlet assembly and found internal diaphragm gasket deteriorating and shedding rubber debris. Removed and cleaned inlet screen, which was clogged with gasket shavings. Verified dump valve operation — no leakage during freeze. Confirmed refrigeration system operating within Manitowoc spec.
