Beverage-Air Prep Table Repair in Austin TX – Refrigerant Leak Investigation

Performed commercial refrigeration repair on a Beverage-Air prep table in Austin TX after customer reported cooling issues.

Cleared condensate drain line and cleaned heavily clogged condenser coil to restore proper airflow and improve operating conditions. During refrigerant system inspection, found an existing piercing valve installed on the unit and replaced it with a new permanent service tap.

Further diagnosis indicated a possible refrigerant leak near the evaporator coil area. Discussed repair options with customer including complete leak search and repair versus full equipment replacement due to potential evaporator coil repair costs.

At this time, customer approved temporary refrigerant recharge only to restore cooling operation while deciding on long-term repair or replacement options.

Unit was tested after service and cooling properly at time of departure.
