Setpoint Services diagnosed and repaired a Haskris commercial process chiller in Austin, Texas after the customer reported the equipment would not cool to its programmed temperature. Electrical diagnostics confirmed proper incoming voltage, correct control voltage to the compressor contactor, and normal operation of the compressor and starting components. Further troubleshooting identified a Building Water Fault that caused the high-pressure safety switch to trip, preventing compressor operation. After correcting the fault condition and resetting the manual high-pressure safety, the refrigeration system immediately resumed normal operation and successfully cooled to the customer's 60°F setpoint. Refrigerant charge was verified through the receiver sight glass, suction pressure stabilized near 50 PSI, and no refrigerant was required. The customer was advised to monitor building water flow, as insufficient condenser water circulation can cause future high-pressure shutdowns. The commercial process chiller was operating properly upon completion of service.
