Oscartek Refrigerated Display Case Temperature Sensor Repair 08.25.26
Setpoint Services performed commercial refrigeration repair on an Oscartek VENTURAGEL4 refrigerated display case at Cold Stone Creamery in Round Rock, Texas. The R-452A refrigerated display case was experiencing erratic and inaccurate cabinet temperature readings, preventing the electronic controller from properly monitoring the temperature of the case.
Diagnostic testing identified a failed room/cabinet temperature sensor as the source of the problem. Setpoint Services obtained and replaced the defective temperature sensor the same day, restarted the commercial display case, and monitored refrigeration operation. Following the repair, the new sensor provided stable temperature readings and the refrigeration system returned to proper operation.
During the refrigeration inspection, significant dirt and debris buildup was also discovered deeper within the condenser coil. The buildup was embedded within the interior portion of the coil where normal exterior cleaning could not adequately remove it. A professional deep condenser coil cleaning and complete commercial refrigeration preventive maintenance service were recommended to restore proper airflow and heat rejection and help prevent elevated operating pressures, reduced cooling capacity, and future refrigeration component failures.
The Oscartek refrigerated display case was operational at completion of service.
