HYFRA Industrial Process Chiller Condenser Replacement – Austin, TX 09.18.26

Setpoint Services performed extensive commercial process chiller repair on a HYFRA Sigma34-S industrial chiller at Muto Technology in Austin, Texas. The R-410A system had a confirmed refrigerant leak in the original condenser coil with associated compressor oil loss. Because the OEM replacement condenser had to be supplied from Germany, repeated emergency service visits and temporary refrigerant additions were required to maintain critical process cooling while awaiting the permanent repair.

During the extended repair period, Setpoint Services monitored chiller operation, maintained the R-410A refrigerant charge, evaluated operating pressures and temperatures, coordinated directly with HYFRA/Dimplex technical support, and expedited the replacement condenser. One service visit recorded operating pressures of approximately 120 PSIG suction and 420 PSIG discharge, and another required 4 lbs of R-410A to restore refrigeration operation and clear an ER23 high reservoir-temperature condition.

The project ultimately included permanent replacement of the failed condenser coil, refrigeration circuit service, and final operational testing of the HYFRA industrial process chiller.
