Setpoint Services serviced a Manitowoc IDT1500N-261E commercial ice machine at Finley’s in Round Rock, Texas after the customer reported excessively thick ice jamming against the edge of the ice bin during harvest. The water channel and water pump were cleaned, and the ice thickness sensor was adjusted to approximately 9/64 inch to produce thinner ice and improve harvesting. Refrigerant pressures were checked and found within the normal operating range.
The condenser coil was also cleaned with coil cleaner. During testing, the Manitowoc ice machine briefly displayed an E20 water fault and entered Safe Mode, but returned to normal operation after completing the harvest cycle. The machine was observed afterward and was operating normally at departure. Continued monitoring was recommended for any recurrence of the E20 water fault.
