The failed compressor was replaced under its remaining compressor warranty. As part of the repair, the liquid-line filter drier was replaced, a low-pressure safety switch was installed, and the condenser coil was thoroughly cleaned to improve heat transfer. A refrigerant leak inspection identified a small leak that was repaired, followed by nitrogen pressure testing, evacuation, and charging the system with the required critical refrigerant charge. Glycol concentration was checked at approximately 22–23% and determined to be adequate. After repairs, the chiller was started and tested, with system operation verified and leaving temperature continuing to decrease at departure. Continued monitoring was recommended due to the previous refrigerant-loss condition.
