# 3-Ton HVAC System Replacement in Central Texas

Setpoint Services completed a full residential HVAC system replacement, removing an aging air conditioning system and installing a new high-efficiency 3-ton straight cool HVAC system.

The project included installation of a new outdoor condenser, matching upflow air handler, and a new 15kW electric heat kit. Due to the distance between the indoor and outdoor equipment, approximately 100 feet of new copper refrigerant piping was installed, including a new 3/4-inch suction line, 3/8-inch liquid line, insulation, and protective line hide.

As part of the installation, the existing HVAC equipment was removed and properly disposed of. The new system was installed on a new condenser pad and connected with new thermostat wiring and low-voltage controls. The refrigerant piping was pressure tested with nitrogen, leak tested, evacuated to a deep vacuum, and charged according to manufacturer specifications.

Following startup, system performance was verified, operating pressures were checked, and the equipment was tested through a complete cooling cycle to ensure proper operation and reliability.
