Setpoint Services completed extensive repairs on a Rheem commercial rooftop HVAC system serving a restaurant kitchen in downtown Austin.

The rooftop unit had a history of recurring control failures, overheated wiring, damaged electrical components, and previous modifications that had bypassed multiple safety and control circuits.

Diagnostic testing identified failed control components including the pressure control board, main control board, and contactor coil. Additional troubleshooting revealed line-voltage wiring had been incorrectly landed on the wrong contactor by previous service personnel, creating improper power distribution throughout the unit.

The rooftop unit was rewired to factory specifications, restoring proper power routing to the blower and compressor circuits. All damaged control components were replaced and electrical operation was verified.

Following repairs, the unit was tested through a complete operating sequence. Blower operation, compressor operation, safety controls, thermostat controls, and electrical circuits were verified to ensure proper operation.
