Setpoint Services performed commercial ice machine preventive maintenance and deep cleaning on an integrated ice machine, model MC0330MA-1A, at Beard Integrated in Round Rock, Texas. The R-404A refrigeration system received comprehensive cleaning and sanitizing to remove mineral deposits, accumulated debris, and buildup affecting the machine's water circulation and overall performance.
The technician removed all ice from the storage bin and disassembled the ice machine, including removable components and internal water tubing. All components were thoroughly cleaned using professional ice machine cleaner, and the water tubing was scrubbed to eliminate internal buildup. During inspection, standing water was discovered inside the ice storage bin due to a restricted drain line. The drain was cleared to restore proper drainage, and the storage bin was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
After reassembly, the ice machine was operated through complete cleaning and sanitizing cycles to treat internal water passages and circulation components. The condenser coil was also cleaned using a pump sprayer to remove dirt and debris, improve airflow, and maintain efficient refrigeration performance.
Following maintenance, the ice machine was returned to normal operation and successfully completed an ice production and harvest cycle, dropping ice into the storage bin. Proper drainage was verified, and the equipment was operating normally at the time of departure.
