Setpoint Services responded to an after-hours commercial refrigeration service request at Tumble 22 in Cedar Park, Texas, after restaurant management reported that their walk-in cooler temperature had risen to approximately 45°F. Due to concerns about maintaining safe food storage temperatures, the customer contacted our team for emergency refrigeration service.
Our technician arrived on-site and serviced the walk-in cooler refrigeration system, adding refrigerant to restore cooling performance. Previous diagnostic visits had identified multiple refrigerant leaks throughout the system, making extensive leak repairs an impractical long-term solution.
Setpoint Services had previously provided a quote to replace the deteriorating refrigeration equipment due to the recurring refrigerant loss and overall condition of the system. The replacement proposal remains pending customer approval.
The refrigerant recharge performed during this visit was intended as a temporary measure to help maintain cooling while the customer considers equipment replacement. Because the existing refrigerant leaks have not been repaired, additional refrigerant loss and cooling problems may occur.
