A New Water Filter Manifold on the Supply Side
With the drain side handled, the supply side got the same attention. We installed a new water filter manifold and connected it to the ice machine’s water supply, then tested the connections under pressure and confirmed no leaks.
Filtration is not optional equipment in Central Texas. The water here carries enough dissolved mineral content that an unfiltered machine will scale up measurably within a single season — and scale does not stay in one place. It coats the evaporator, narrows the distribution tubes, and eventually reaches the circulation pump. Full Teardown, Descale, and Sanitize
With both water connections rebuilt, the machine came apart for a complete cleaning. Calcium and mineral deposits were removed from the ice channels, and the storage bin was cleaned and sanitized. After reassembly, the unit ran a complete ice-making cycle successfully, and the condensate pump, drain system, water filter system, and machine were all verified operating properly with no leaks.
